Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar
- On arrival in Amritsar, you will be transferred to the hotel to check-in. Take a rest and feel relaxed then visit the iconic Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh to see the contribution of Amritsar in Indian history. In the afternoon you will have some free time to relax, you have lunch at that time if you want. Around 2:30 – 3:00 PM in the evening proceed towards Wagah Border to see the retreat ceremony and flag lowering. This ceremony begins at 4:15 PM in winters and 5:15 PM in summers. After that return to the hotel and stayed overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 2: Amritsar to Dharamshala – Local Sightseeing (210 km, 6 hours)
- Early in the morning check out from the hotel and proceed for McLeod Ganj (Dharamshala). Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and have some rest to get relaxed. In the evening, visit Bhagsu Nag Waterfall, St. John’s Church and Dalai Lama Temple and explore the beautiful local market. Overnight stay at a hotel in Dharamshala.
Day 3: Dharamshala – Local visits
- After breakfast, embark on a full day tour to Dharamshala HPCA Cricket Stadium, Norbulingha Institute, Kangra Art Museum and Tea Gardens and enjoy the sunset over the village of Naddi. Overnight stay at a hotel in Dharamshala.
Day 4: Descent from Dharamshala to Amritsar (220 km, 6 hours)
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer by road to Amritsar. You will be dropped off at Amritsar airport or railway station on time to continue your journey. The visit ends with sweet memories.
